Bustin was a renowned Protestant missionary who is best remembered for his work among the peoples of Haiti and the South Pacific Islanders. This book was written by him to stir up interest in the missions among his fellow Christians. There are many stories, meant to be morally uplifting, of hardships endured, plus struggles against both paganism and 'Romanism.' Interesting bit of Protestant history.
